The Story

Park Street Chapel – A Place of Prayer, Deliverance, Healing & Revival

In 2016, a pastor friend gave me the key to a small chapel at 204 E. Park Street in Elizabethtown, asking only that I pray for him and the missionaries his church supported. I began praying regularly in that chapel, often early in the morning. We saw powerful breakthroughs and the presence of God move through nights of prayer and worship.

In 2017, when the chapel was going to be put up for sale, I prayed and sensed the Lord saying it was to be released into His hands. A prophetic word soon followed—spoken by someone with no knowledge of my situation—declaring that a chapel on Park Street would be given to a man named Peter. With God’s provision and a generous gift, we were able to purchase the chapel, which was fully paid off by 2018.

Since then, the chapel has been beautifully renovated—thanks to the generosity of volunteers and donors. The basement now features warm maple shiplap paneling, a fully equipped kitchen, and a welcoming space for teaching, fellowship, and ministry. We’ve hosted weddings, funerals, showers, and Bible studies in this renewed setting. The front entrance has been expanded with a new deck and a fully installed wheelchair lift, providing better access and making the chapel more inviting for all who come.

In 2020, the Lord led us to begin daily corporate prayer leading up to the national election. Starting July 26—100 days before the election—we gathered every morning from 6:00–7:00 AM and every evening from 6:00–7:00 PM to pray. After the November election, we felt compelled to continue, and that rhythm of prayer has never stopped. These gatherings have anchored our ministry and set a foundation of intercession that continues to this day.

Each morning begins with consistent, Spirit-led corporate prayer, setting the tone for everything we do. In 2024, this foundation led to the launch of a dedicated deliverance ministry, where we are witnessing lives transformed, chains broken, and individuals set free through the power of Jesus Christ. These gatherings have become a vital part of our mission to help people walk in lasting freedom and victory.

Some of our key outreaches include seasonal events that bring the community together and lift up the name of Jesus. The Easter Sunrise Service and breakfast draw people together to celebrate the risen Christ. The Amazing Maze Outreach has welcomed hundreds of families, offering children fun games, popcorn, hot chocolate, and candy—while many parents receive prayer and encouragement. At Christmas, our Tree Lighting event fills the air with carols and the reading of the Christmas story, pointing hearts to Jesus.

Thank you for your continued prayers, support, and partnership. We are deeply grateful to walk this journey with you, and we look forward with great expectation to all that God has in store through Park Street Chapel. Together, let’s keep pressing in—for revival, for freedom, and for His Kingdom to come.

Sincerely,
Peter & Sharon Ogilvie
